PBP Outlook Addin

PBP Outlook Addin is an "addin feature" for Microsoft Outlook which makes communicationand information updates between the project manager and his colleagues easier and faster. Colleagues, such as staff, contractors or suppliers who have installed the simple PBP Outlook Addin don't need to install the full Product Based Planner.

After PBP Outlook Addin has been installed, the following additional features will appear in the user’s Microsoft Outlook application:

  • Ability to receive in e-mail form, structured descriptions of work packages with relevant documentation included
  • Notification when a new work package e-mail has arrived
  • Ability to accept or reject the work package and automatically inform the project managers by return email
  • Synchronise work package deadlines and checkpoints with the Microsoft Outlook calendar
  • Ability to generate reports from specific checkpoints and automatically send them to the project manager
  • A tab listing all work packages received
  • A tab listing all checkpoints, which the user is required to send to the project manager
  • Search in mailbox for e-mails with workpackages
  • After a checkpoint report generated by PBP Outlook Addin is received and accepted by the project manager, the information it contains automatically updates the plan
